From Sunset to Stars: An Evening of Sound, Stillness & Renewal with Janelle

As the sun-soaked days of the solstice linger into August, when summer’s energy is abundant and the pace of life often feels full, we invite you to pause.

Join us for an evening of restoration as we gather beneath the open sky at Millwork Commons Prairie. Together, we’ll move from the golden light of sunset into the quiet wonder of the stars, creating space to soften, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves.

Surrounded by prairie grasses, trees, and the sounds of summer, we’ll set aside the demands of daily life and enter a slower rhythm—one of reflection, presence, and renewal.

What to Expect

7:00 p.m. – Arrival & Gathering

Arrive at 1111 N. 13th Street.

Enter through Door #1 of the Mastercraft Building. Suite 114 will be immediately on your left.

Enjoy light refreshments, connect with others, and settle into the evening. Before moving outdoors, you’ll be invited to create a small intention card through words, poetry, art-making, or simple reflection—whatever feels meaningful to you.

7:45 p.m. – Opening Circle

We’ll gather together to welcome the evening, set intentions, and transition from the busyness of the day into a more restorative space.

8:00–9:00 p.m. – Sound Bath on the Prairie

Led by Janelle, this immersive outdoor sound bath invites us to soften, release, and settle into deeper states of rest and presence.

As the sun sets and twilight gives way to night, the soothing sounds of crystal bowls and other healing instruments can help quiet the thinking mind, calm the nervous system, and invite the brain into more restorative rhythms.

This is an opportunity to step away from the constant demands of “adulting” and simply receive.

Rest comfortably beneath the evening sky, surrounded by nature, gentle sounds, and community.

9:00 p.m. – Closing Circle

We’ll close with a brief time of reflection, gratitude, and optional sharing as the stars emerge overhead.

What to Bring

• A blanket and pillow
• Comfortable clothing for the weather
• Water bottle (optional)

Meditation cushions, beverages, and refreshments will be provided by the NExT Foundation team.

Rain Plan

If weather does not permit gathering outdoors, the event will be moved indoors to our beautiful Millwork Commons space.
